"Despite growing national support for stricter gun laws, Washington was the only state with a gun control measure on the ballot this election. Its passage would make Washington’s gun regulations some of the strictest in the nation." ... See MoreSee Less
Washington State (at least you guys on the west side) you rock ...speaking from the east side
A good start, but I'll be satisfied when the requirements to possess and use a gun are more stringent than that for owning and operating a car (training, licensing, registration, and insurance).
You can do this in your state, we took control from the political right and asked voters to decide. And so we did
Just common sense protections hopeful they will make a difference in loss of life due to guns getting in the wrong hands, The prosecutions of gun owners who do not protect and safekeep there firearms should have the biggest effect...most smart Washingtonians do gun safety classes already but the ones that don’t or won’t or refuse...they are the ones we’re worried about. This law changes nothing about gun ownership it just makes it safer and that’s EVERYTHING to us. As a gun owner myself I’m proud of my state and will support any common sense gun law that does not result in me losing my right to own as long as I’m mentally stable
Serious question; as an Oregonian am I effected by this law if I am visiting Washington for the weekend? I’m a historical reenactor the uses a semi automatic rifle but I’m 18 and it’s registered to me in Oregon.
When does the law go into place. When is it active?
Thats a good hashtag
Let’s lead the way against the NRA!
Funny how it’s not legal to purchase alcohol before the age of 21 but basically children can purchase weapons that kill. Ridiculous. These stricter gun laws are way overdue. This isn’t the Wild West. We don’t need this many firearms.
